About RA

Hello and welcome to the RA Experience! I’m Robert Alexander, originally from Detroit and now proudly servicing West Bloomfield and it’s surrounding communities. With over 13 years of experience in the beauty industry, I’ve worked in various salon settings and have observed that hair styling is only a small part of the salon experience.

From full-time moms to passionate educators, women in tech and entrepreneurs, I’ve come to understand that my clients appreciate a peaceful environment. This is why I’ve designed a tranquil studio that provides each guest a 1-on-1 experience with space to relax and unwind during our appointment together.

While most stylists offer a great first visit and solid maintenance care thereafter, I see my role as your stylist a bit differently. I work together with all of my guests to assess a long term plan for their hair and with sensitivity, encourage them to try new styles because I truly believe hair can sew a seed of newfound confidence which is very rewarding to see!

When I’m not in the salon, I still maintain a common thread of creativity throughout my life. Whether it be a new episode of my podcast Good Vibes w/ Robert Alexander, creating new fragrances for my candle company Mistani Candle Co. or writing songs (I’m a huge music head!), I keep my creative expression flowing which is what allows me to constantly give you more as a stylist!
